Where are we headed?

I was kicked off Twitter for a while and I decided to stay off.

A Study shows that 70% of millennials think socialism is a system they would like to live under. I can end the rant just by saying, “Why hasn’t it worked in any of the countries its been tried?” However the response to that has been that all those other countries haven’t done it right or they didn’t have enough money to do it right. Well, one of the latest examples of having the wealth then turning their country into a pile of monkey manure is Venezuela. They had and have vast oil reserves but the people of the country have been reduced to eating pets, grass and rats to survive. Why? Because the “leaders” of the country decided that socialism or as they say, rulers get ALL the good stuff is the way to go.

In the hallowed halls of academia the educators propagandists teach preach the theoretical benefits of socialism and or communism. They say if it is done right and with enough funding it is better than any other system. Everyone can be equal they say. What they neglect to tell the young skulls full of mush is that since the government doesn’t build or create anything the funding can only be done three ways: 1) Tax those with wealth until they are no longer able to support the system. 2) Nationalize the money-making businesses, eliminate profits and pay the workers less and less. 3) Confiscate wealth from the “rich” and support those not so fortunate. The first does a couple of things. It discourages the people that create goods and services that are useful and make money. It also keeps others from even trying. If they can they flee the country. (This actually goes for anyone with potential.) The second option will eventually destroy these businesses because the workers will no longer try or excel because they know they will not get any better off. Finally, confiscation (beyond taxes) won’t work because once you take all of someone’s money what’s left to take? As Margaret Thatcher said, “The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” The academics always look at things in the present tense and they assume that Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos will be willing to give up everything for the state. Then make it again and give it all up again That is simply a steaming pile of elephant excrement.

The rules and regulations that our government is continually creating are hurting. It is estimated that there are around 560 billionaires in the USA. This down from last year’s 624. Of the 560 that are left 46% are worth less than last year. Much of this is because of government regulation and tax increases. (Sorry, that tax breaks for the rich cow caca didn’t extend to their businesses.) Millionaires haven’t fared any better. This year, according to Forbes, there are around 7,999,000 millionaires. This number is also down from last year. It would be down more but the billionaires that dropped from the B ranks to the M ranks helped a little. I didn’t footnote this paragraph but you can easily fact check my numbers.

A growing problem is the welfare state. Some cities and states are giving welfare to illegal aliens. They are also giving them free education and healthcare and what they should be giving them is passage home. These are the cities and states with the highest taxes. We don’t treat our own military veterans as well as the illegal aliens.

Two other things are pushing us down the wrong road. The first is the distancing of the country from its founding beliefs. From the pilgrims in the 1600’s to our independence in 1776 every one of the documents created about the founding of the country gave credit and or pledged allegiance to God. The secularists of today want to push us away from Christianity. Socialism requires loyalty to the system above and in place of all else. I believe this has led to the decay of morals in the country. No longer is it in fashion to treat others as you would have them treat you. No longer is it okay to have school prayer. In the few places they still recite the pledge of allegiance to the flag in school they have removed “under god” from many of them. How many people under the age of thirty can name three of the Ten Commandments and even if they could how many of them would actually follow them? Just in case you need a reminder…

Finally, something should be said about the parents of the little darlings of the past twenty or thirty years. Fact number one; according to the latest statistics I could find about 42% of US births are out of wedlock. This number has been increasing every year. I don’t know the percentage of those are actually raised by the mother alone but I’m sure it is considerable. Many of these end up on welfare. (Mothers, and later, the children.) These children are usually the ones that have little or no discipline, do poorly in school and end up in menial jobs or on welfare…….And it isn’t getting any better.  I didn’t even mention the the mommies and daddys that tell little Johnny even though he came in ninth place he gets a trophy anyway.

That’s for another rant.

A man was washed up on a beach after a terrible shipwreck.

Only a sheep and a sheepdog were washed up with him.

After looking around, he realized that they were stranded on a deserted island.

After being there awhile, he got into the habit of taking his two animal companions to the beach every evening to watch the sunset.

One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds, the breeze was warm and gentle a perfect night for romance.

As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man. Soon, he leaned over to the sheep and put his arm around it.

But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep.

After that, the three of them continued to enjoy the sunsets together, but there was no more cuddling.

A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck.

The only survivor was Nancy Pelosi .

That evening, the man brought Nancy to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful evening red sky, cirrus clouds, a warm and gentle breeze perfect for a night of romance.

Pretty soon, the man started to get ‘those feelings’ again..

He fought the urges as long as he could but he finally gave in and leaned over to Nancy and told her he hadn’t had sex for months. Nancy batted her eyelashes and asked if there was anything she could do for him.

He said, ‘Would you mind taking the dog for a walk?’
